Spend the weekend learning, playing, connecting, challenging yourself, and growing! And then going home to sleep in your very own bed!

Improvisation is one of the quickest ways to develop comfort and skill speaking in front of crowds, becoming more at ease in social situations and connecting to joy and a child-like frame of mind.
This weekend experience is suitable for those who have taken the equivalent of one improv class already.

We will delve deeply into skills such as learning to be fully in the moment through deep listening /"yes, and", exploring emotion for fuller range of expression and a multitude of tricks and tips to learn to get our of our heads and dive deeply into the now.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
FRIDAY Aug 16
6:30- 8:30 p.m.
BUILDING GROUP MIND
Go from feeling like a group of strangers to feeling a strange connection. Through simple team-building exercises and getting-to-know-you-games, the group will begin to build their group mind. Every participant is valued and valuable, creating a group mind that cannot be replicated. Group mind is about learning to get out of our own way so that we can truly let creativity and magic flow through us. Discover how entering this state will not only get you the most laughs but will help you create in a compelling way on stage. Focus will be on listening, support, affirmation and fun!

SATURDAY Aug 17
10 am- 1 p.m.
Use Your "Mistakes"
The key to great scenes is to get out of our heads. What tends to keep us in our heads is the fear of looking dumb, doing it "wrong" and making mistakes. What if you could USE your mistakes? What if you could RIDE the wave of whatever was happening on stage to your advantage? Come find out in this workshop!

SCENE WORK SECRETS WORKSHOP
What makes a good scene? This workshop is all about DOING with lots of coaching to help you bring out your best. Learn tricks to get out of your head, be more committed and get the audience on your side. Get ready to have some scene work fun and learn a ton!

SUNDAY Aug 18

10:30 a.m.- 12:45pm
Characters & Long Form
Let's explore the magic of finding the myriad of characters that exist inside each of us with the slight change of your body. Then let's put those characters in scenes, have them interact with eachother and start to explore some long form improv magic!

LUNCH BREAK/FREE TIME

2:00- 4:00 p.m.
BRING IT ALL HOME WORKSHOP
In this workshop we will integrate all that we have learned and cement it so that you can bring it back to your life outside of the immersion whether you are in an improv group, want to be in an improv group, or hate groups...we’ll make sure you leave with new life skills and improv insights.

About The Instructor:
Anoo Tree Brod is an award winning improviser & speaker who is the creative director & producer of Wild Mind Improv. She has been a professional improviser for 20+ years performing with Actors Improv Company (formerly Transactors), Danny Canoe and many other groups in the Raleigh/Durham area. Anoo
brings improvisation to organizations who want to enhance leadership & communication skills in creative & unique ways. As a presenter throughout the U.S., institutions such as UNC Kenan Flagler Business School, Novant Health & Interim Ministry Network rave about her ability to activate an audience & bring joy to a room. Her own struggles with CPTSD have put her in a unique position to help people of all backgrounds to become more of who they really are. She loves to watch people light up using the tools of improvisation & intuition.
